Due to the on going COVID-19 pandemic, our planning decisions are being guided by the ever-evolving government mandates and public health guidelines. We are hoping to run the races on May 1,
but at this point cannot commit to doing so.

The race meet showcases one of Maryland's most historic sports, horse racing over the open countryside while jumping over natural fences. Spectators enjoy an outdoor party, vying for "Best Tailgate Awards" while cheering on the horses and riders.

A. 1 vehicle, but it will be roomy enough for an XL SUV or pick up.
Q. Is there a limit to the number of people per vehicle?
A. There is no limit on the number of people in the vehicle - bring as many people as you can fit!
Q. My friends will have a prime tailgate spot; is there a less expensive option for regular parking?
A. YES! General parking is only $25.

3 miles, over 3’6” fences;
minimum weight 165 lbs.
Novice Timber
The Alda Clark Plate - $2,500
3 miles over 3’6” fences. Minimum weight 165 lbs. Non-winners over timber prior to the 1st of the current year; for each win since the 1st of the current year add 5 lbs.

All MFHA recognized or MAWC member hunt clubs are invited to send one team (3 riders per team); interested clubs should have MFH or secretary contact the Race Secretary for conditions and an invitation. Deadline for Team Chase Entries will be earlier than regular race deadline; contact race secretary for more information.
